Adult career training


The Adult Career Training Program engages Kent County adults experiencing under and unemployment in tuition-free career training in health information and pharmacy technician. A new information technology pathway in computer user support will be offered in 2022; more information to come. Through professionally led instruction, leadership and personal development curriculum, externships with local employers, and on-site supports, students prepare to take national certification exams and enter their new career field.


The Health Information pathway includes tracks in medical administration, medical billing, and medical coding. These tracks will prepare students for a new, living-wage career with growth opportunities in the high-demand field of healthcare service support.


The tuition-free Pharmacy Technician pathway will prepare students for a new, living-wage career in the high-demand field of pharmacy technician field. Pharmacy technicians are an integral part of the patient care team. You will assist pharmacists, using your skills in technology, customer support and pharmacology.


A new offering at WMCAT, training in computer user support prepares students for national certification exams and employment in IT help desk positions.
