Pharmacy Technician

Pathway Length: 8 months, September – May
Average Starting Hourly Pay: $18 – $22
Schedule:
– Monday + Thursday | 8:30am – 12pm, Virtual Instruction
– Tuesday + Wednesday | 8:30am – 2:30pm, In-Person Instruction

The Pharmacy Technician pathway gives you the opportunity to learn to assist pharmacists by assuming many responsibilities, such as filling prescription, utilizing computer systems and software, and fulfilling other patient-specific duties to support a Registered Pharmacist.

Graduates of the Pharmacy Technician pathway will have skills for pharmacy technician positions in retail or institutional pharmacy practice.

This track prepares graduates to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam (PTCB).

The Pharmacy Technician pathway will prepare you for certified positions such as:

–  Retail Pharmacy Technician
–  Hospital Pharmacy Technician
–  Compounding Pharmacy Technician
–  Long Term Care/Close Door Pharmacy Technician

• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Live in Kent County
• Have no record of a felony
• Be experiencing unemployment or underemployment
  *Working part-time, multiple part-time jobs, or in a job where potential and skills are not fully utilized.

MAY 19 | Enrollment Opens
JUNE 2 | Reading + Math Assessments Begin
*All applicants must submit an application as well as a reading and math assessment to complete the application process.
JUNE 23 | Interviews Begin on a Rolling Basis
JULY 17 | Enrollment Ends
JULY 24 | Reading + Math Assessments End
AUGUST 1 | Interviews End
AUGUST 4 | Students Notified of Acceptance
AUGUST 20 | Orientation, 9am – 10am
SEPTEMBER 22 | Program Begins
