CYBERSECURITY CURRICULUM

GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)

GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) gives you the opportunity to learn about the function that governs the cybersecurity industry. GRC analysts protect critical information, systems, and organizations from digital attacks. You will learn the foundations of GRC (ISO 27001 and 27002, implementing an ISMS risk, and applying security controls), science and technology (cloud security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, AI and auditing algorithms), design (design thinking, data visualization, user experience), gain exposure to compliance audit readiness and evidence collection best practices, and professional communication skills.

Cloud Security Engineering

Cloud security engineering gives you the opportunity to learn about a specialized role in the field of cybersecurity, dealing with the security aspects of cloud computing. You will learn the foundations of GRC and cloud security, including executing and reporting on threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments, threat assessments, and threat modeling; recommending controls for cloud applications; and implementing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining security SaaS (software as a service), AWS environments, and GRC platforms. You will be introduced to cloud security architecture and threat modeling fundamentals, building critical skills for identifying and mitigating risks in complex cloud environments.

Cloud security engineers play a crucial role in protecting an organization’s data and systems in the cloud. They develop and implement methods to secure and monitor cloud environments, evaluate and respond to cyberthreats, automate and configure security controls, support incident handling and response, and perform cloud security audits.
